On May 2, 2025, the village square of Pechbonnieu was transformed into a true open-air dancefloor thanks to the special edition of the Avant Totem Festival. This atypical event made hearts and bodies vibrate to the rhythm of Afro-Caribbean and South American sounds carried by a quartet of Magic Speakers.

This transformation would not have been possible without the incredible technology of the Magic Speakers, which achieved the feat of broadcasting 360° immersive sound while respecting the auditory integrity of the participants. Far from the aggressive sound systems that sometimes make you regret leaving your earplugs, these next-generation speakers offer an enveloping sound experience that promotes pleasant and safe listening.

The technical team, in partnership with GUTS and DJ Twent’ies, developed a sophisticated sound architecture, focusing on the strategic positioning of the Magic Speakers.

This ingenious arrangement allowed for uniform and harmonious music distribution, thus creating a truly immersive sound environment.

The Art of Open-Air Sound System

The principle of 360° sound system comes from advanced technological development, incorporating the latest discoveries in acoustics and sound engineering. Unlike a usual sound system directed frontally, the Magic Speakers distribute sound in all directions, ensuring homogeneous sound coverage. This helps avoid the volume disparities normally felt when moving in an open space.

This innovation is not limited to ensuring sound immersion; it also allows for significant energy savings while offering superior sound quality. By reducing power needs to cover a large space, the Magic Speaker system offers optimal performance in compliance with modern environmental standards.

A Memorable Night

The evening began with the rich and textural first notes of GUTS, a skillful mix of Afro-Caribbean rhythms that instantly ignited the square. DJ Twent’ies continued the effervescence, mixing South American tracks that had dance enthusiasts swinging late into the night. Festival-goers described the experience as magical, a rare symbiosis between cutting-edge technology and musical warmth.

The Avant Totem Festival in Pechbonnieu reminded us of the unifying power of music, capable of transcending cultural and technological barriers. This event was a tour de force showing how innovation can enhance the collective experience while preserving the well-being of participants.

In short, this festival was a masterstroke in the marriage of technology and celebration, promoting a promising future for open-air events, where sound is not only heard but also truly felt.
